From changing a single person's daily commute to reducing humanity's collective environmental footprint — we've got huge goals.As a Utility Worker at Via, you will play a key role in maintaining the safety, efficiency, and functionality of our facilities, vehicles, and grounds. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly through a wide range of maintenance and support tasks.On-the-job training is provided, and no prior transit experience is required. This is in person at our Fort Walton Beach location.What You'll Do:Upkeep, sanitize, and detail buses and support vehicles to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for riders and staff.Perform general building and grounds upkeep, including custodial tasks and minor repairs, ensuring facilities are clean, orderly, and operating safely.Support the operations team with miscellaneous responsibilities as they arise, including moving equipment, organizing workspaces, and assisting with special projects.Additional duties will be discussed during the interview and may evolve based on operational needs.Who You Are:Hold a valid driver's license.Dynamic; willing to wear multiple hats and work on projects of all types.An action-oriented executor: you take initiative to solve problems and get the job done.Successful completion of a drug test, criminal background check, and motor vehicle records check is mandatory for employment.Able to pass a pre-employment physical.Pass a drug screening and background check: no felonies, clean MVR, no DUI/DWI or reckless driving convictions, and no more than 2 speeding tickets.At least 21 years old.Compensation and BenefitsFinal salary will be determined by the candidate's experience, knowledge, and skills.Salary: Starting at $22.33/hourAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.There has never been a more exciting time to be on the cutting edge of public mobility.
