Commercial Lines Account Manager

\n

\n

Position Summary:

\n

\n

The Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of commercial insurance policies, including quoting, binding, servicing, and participating in the claims rotation. This role plays a critical part in delivering exceptional client service, maintaining operational efficiency, and supporting client retention. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, in-depth product knowledge, and a proactive, client-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities:

Policy Servicing

\n

\n
• Manage policy changes, endorsements, billing inquiries, and renewal processes.
\n
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in the agency management system.
\n
• Collaborate with producers during renewal cycles to gather updated client information and ensure all policy changes are properly reflected.
\n

\n

Quoting & Binding

\n

\n
• Quote commercial lines risks using carrier rating systems and comparative raters.
\n
• Evaluate coverage options and present tailored recommendations based on client needs.
\n
• Bind policies and ensure all documentation is accurate and processed in a timely manner.
\n

\n

Claims Support

\n

\n
• Participate in the claims rotation by assisting clients with reporting and navigating claims.
\n
• Serve as a liaison between clients and carriers throughout the claims process.
\n
• Monitor claim progress and follow up to ensure timely resolution and continued client communication.
\n

\n

\n

Client Relationship Management

\n

\n
• Deliver responsive, knowledgeable, and high-quality service to build and maintain strong client relationships.
\n
• Act as a trusted advisor for commercial insurance needs and coverage explanations.
\n
• Partner with underwriters and carriers to advocate for client needs when necessary.
\n
• Other duties as assigned.
\n

Qualifications:

\n

\n

\n
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
\n
• Active Missouri Property & Casualty license required
\n
• Comprehensive knowledge of commercial property and casualty insurance coverages and carrier products
\n
• Experience with agency management systems (Applied Epic preferred), and Microsoft Office Suite
\n
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
\n
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
\n
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
\n
• High level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
\n
• Customer-focused mindset with a proactive, solution-oriented approach
\n
• Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check, as permitted by law
\n

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm
