Position Summary

The Sales Manager is responsible for leading the Sales Department, driving profitable revenue growth, maintaining outstanding customer relationships, and ensuring the achievement of both short- and long-term business objectives. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and industry expertise to support continued company growth and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Department Management

• Lead, mentor, and supervise all Sales Department personnel.
• Develop and manage training plans, performance goals, and professional development initiatives.
• Schedule and oversee daily sales activities to ensure departmental objectives are achieved.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.

Business Development & Customer Relations

• Expand business opportunities with existing customers while cultivating new accounts.
• Visit customers regularly to strengthen relationships and identify new sales opportunities.
• Request and prepare quotations for new parts and projects in accordance with company policies.
• Develop and execute strategies to increase market share and revenue growth.

Strategic Planning & Profitability

• Establish and implement short- and long-term sales strategies.
• Monitor departmental performance and adjust plans to meet business goals.
• Manage product pricing to maximize profitability while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Review supplier quotations and establish competitive sales pricing.

Forecasting & Reporting

• Prepare and manage monthly and annual sales forecasts.
• Analyze sales performance and provide reports to executive leadership.
• Monitor progress toward departmental sales goals and identify improvement opportunities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure customer requirements are met efficiently.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, and other departments to support customer needs.
• Assist in resolving internal and customer-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Support supplier and customer quality initiatives, including customer visits and performance reviews.

Qualifications

Education

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in:
• • Mechanical Engineering, OR
  • Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field

Experience - MUST HAVE***

• 5-7 years of Sales Management experience in the fastener industry required.
• Experience with automotive, manufacturing, mechanical products, or OEM sales required.
• Experience working with OEM customers or large wholesale accounts strongly preferred.
• Retail sales experience will not be considered.
