Payroll Associate

This is a part‑time position – three 8‑hour day shifts (24 hrs) per week. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday are ideal, but scheduling can be flexible as long as the days worked fall within Monday‑Friday. Acts as a lead in support of staff scheduling, timekeeping, reporting, and other payroll‑related functions in support of operations. Functions as a backup for the manager and payroll/staffing for all transactions and job postings. Also, provides administrative support to Nursing Administration and other areas. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions Ensures daily master schedules are provided for the manager, nursing/payroll, and collaborates with staff availability to work. Ensures optimum staffing efficiency of each unit by assigning Resource Team staff to fill vacancies and approved time off, as well as last‑minute sick calls, emergencies, and varying acuity levels. Lead timekeeper responsibility, ensuring that information is entered correctly and in a timely fashion. Prepares changes in systems and performs regular audits of data. In the absence of a manager, prepares changes for promotions/demotions/transfers, posts vacant positions for all inpatient units, and leads the team. Lead data quality audits, prepare reports, and present information to leadership. Provide orientation and training of new payroll staff. Education and Experience Associate’s Degree Related Field of Study required. Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? Yes Payroll processing experience 5‑7 years required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Proficient in using office productivity software such as word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation tools. Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment. Strong problem‑solving skills to resolve issues and make sound decisions independently. Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
