Job Opportunity – Neonatal Advanced Practice Provider (NICU APP) – Virginia

Schedule: 5 shifts per month, 12-hour shifts with rotating day/night schedule (primarily night shifts needed). Must be available for weekends. Day shift manages 8 mixed acuity patients; night shift manages 20-30 patients. Part-time and PRN shifts available.

• 13-week assignment with option to extend in a 64-bed Level IV NICU
• Advanced practice setting with ECMO support, high-risk deliveries, and specialized neonatal procedures including intubation, PICC lines, UAC/UVC placement, lumbar punctures, and ventilator management
• Epic EMR system utilized throughout the facility
• Autonomous practice environment working with an experienced interdisciplinary team
• Exposure to complex neonatal cases with Fellows managing ECMO patients
• Opportunity to utilize advanced neonatal skills in critical care setting

Requirements:

• Board Certification in Neonatology required
• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience with neonatal-specific training
• Level IV NICU experience within the past year is required
• High-risk deliveries experience required
• Must be able to work independently and autonomously
• Active Virginia state license (or ability to obtain within 8 weeks prior to start)
• Current DEA and CSR required
• BLS and PALS certifications required (must be AHA certified)
• ACLS certification preferred
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (no exemptions)
• Must reside 50 miles or more from the facility
