Lead & NON Lead Watercraft Inspector & Decontaminator CBT Grand Lake Granby Reservoir and Shadow MT

Job Summary Temporary position (9 months or less). Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour. Employment starts 04/09/2026 and ends 12/05/2026. Position: Lead or General Watercraft Inspector & Decontaminator. Duties performed at CBT’s (Grand Lake, Granby Reservoir, and Shadow Mountain Reservoir) near Grand Lake, Colorado. Responsibilities Inspect boats, trailers, personal watercraft, and equipment for aquatic nuisance species (e.g., Zebra/Quagga mussels, Milfoil). Conduct decontamination procedures in accordance with state regulations and standard protocols. Provide public outreach and education on aquatic invasive species; distribute brochures and promote State Park regulations. Maintain accurate records of inspections by written logs or phone application software. Support operational staffing: create schedules, train inspection staff, perform quality control assessments, and maintain payroll time‑keeping records. Maintain inspection station supplies, perform light maintenance of facilities and equipment, and address troubleshooting of power washers and decontamination units. Ensure compliance with standardized protocols and assist with inventory management. Engage with park visitors, document visitor complaints, and respond to additional duties as assigned. Work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays or 8‑hour shifts requiring on‑site lunch. Basic Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Good driving record and ability to work weekends, early morning, and late evenings. Experience with boats, trailers, power washers, small engines, and/or heavy equipment preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent customer service experience with the public desired. Reliable, timely, and capable of self‑motivation and independent work.
