TEMPORARY Lead & NON Lead Watercraft Inspector & Decontaminator - Tarryall Reservoir.

Job Overview Temporary position (9 months or less) for Lead and Non‑Lead Inspector at Tarryall Reservoir, Jefferson, Colorado. Pay 20.00 21.00 per hour. Employment starts 04/25/2026 and ends 10/31/2026. Responsibilities Inspect boats launching and leaving the reservoir for invasive species (e.g., zebra/quagga mussels) and perform decontamination. Provide public outreach and distribute printed material on aquatic invasive species. Lead inspectors train staff, create schedules, ensure shift coverage, maintain logs, and perform quality‑control assessments. Maintain inventory, troubleshoot equipment, and provide basic maintenance of power washer/decontamination unit. Requirements High school diploma. Valid driving record; ability to work weekends, early mornings, and evenings. Experience with boats, trailers, power washers, small engines, or heavy equipment preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent customer service. Reliable, timely, and self‑motivated to work independently. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or comparable work experience. Ability to camp in rustic settings; must provide own gear for field work.
