Senior Clinical Director, Clinical Research, Hematology
Merck
Senior Principal Scientist position leading clinical research strategy and execution for hematology oncology medicines across all development phases. Responsible for clinical trial design, medical oversight, regulatory submissions, and cross-functional collaboration at a pharmaceutical company.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate pre-clinical data and develop early clinical development plans and Investigational New Drug applications
- Design clinical development strategies and plan trials for hematology investigational or marketed drugs
- Provide medical oversight and manage conduct of ongoing or new clinical trials
- Analyze clinical study findings and prepare reports supporting safety, efficacy, and regulatory submissions
- Collaborate across cross-functional teams and participate in research project groups for compound development
Requirements
- M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree
- Minimum 3 years clinical medicine experience
- Minimum 3 years industry drug development or academic biomedical research
- Demonstrated success overseeing clinical studies and protocols
- Strong scientific publication and achievement record
- Board certification or eligibility in Oncology, Hematology, or related discipline (preferred)
