Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients recovering from physical impairments and disabilities in a rehabilitation center setting, tailoring approaches based on individual patient needs.
• Develop comprehensive treatment plans using modalities such as exercise therapy, manual therapy techniques, and advanced therapeutic equipment to optimize patient outcomes.
• Document patient progress meticulously, tracking improvements and responses to various therapeutic interventions.
• Regularly reassess treatment goals, adapting plans and methodologies in response to patient feedback and clinical outcomes.
• Advise on and fit patients for necessary assistive devices, training them and their caregivers to ensure effective use.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, collaborating with healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic patient care.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in physical therapy by attending workshops, obtaining continuing education credits, and engaging with professional communities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on a varied patient demographic, including children and adults with diverse physical therapy needs such as postoperative recovery, sports injuries, neurologic conditions, and chronic pain syndromes. By using a patient-centered approach, you will help empower individuals to reach their highest level of function and independence.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is mandatory.
• A valid New Jersey State License to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
• Proficiency in computer applications and medical documentation systems.
• A flexible and proactive mindset, adaptable in response to patient circumstances.

Preferred Experience

• While a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required, New Graduates eager to learn and grow within our mentorship program are encouraged to apply.
• Experience with assistive devices and understanding various therapeutic modalities will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
