Delivery Driver - Specialist

Job Overview The Delivery Specialist is responsible for delivering product and maintaining inventory for the assigned corporate accounts within the Livestock Business Unit, which includes dairy, swine and beef production facilities as well as veterinary clinics. Shift and Location Monday – Friday, 6:30am – 3:30pm. Must be located within a 40‑mile radius of the Des Moines, Iowa area. Responsibilities Deliver product from the company distribution facility to customer locations daily. Maintain inventory control and stock animal health products in designated areas at each customer site. Use the Slam system to enter inventory into each Cubex® system when required. Provide customer service on inventory management, equipment, and product topics; act as a resource to customers. Comply with requests from Territory Managers and leadership, and participate in conference calls and meetings as requested. Drive a box truck safely, load and unload supplies in accordance with bills of lading and customer orders, and maintain an acceptable driving record. Inspect truck equipment and supplies (tires, lights, brakes, diesel, oil, water) before and after trips; report discrepancies and needed repairs to the Sales Operations Manager. Perform emergency roadside repairs and ensure cargo is secure during transit. Maintain accurate driving records and logs in accordance with DOT and Hazmat regulations. Submit daily inspection reports, cargo load documentation, customer receipts, and product return paperwork to the warehouse with proper documentation. Follow all procedures as detailed in the Delivery Specialist Procedure Manual. Education and Experience High School Diploma required. Experience in an agriculture‑related field preferred. Skills and Knowledge Strong verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer proficiency and ability to use software programs. Adequate mobility to walk, stand, pull orders from various shelf heights, and lift up to 35–50lbs routinely (up to 75lbs occasionally). Basic mathematical skills, number recognition, and good hand‑eye coordination. Good customer service skills and a sense of urgency. May require obtaining a Class A CDL certification; the company may cover certain certification costs.
