Floor Technician

Job Overview As a Floor Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the appearance of flooring surfaces within our facilities. Your expertise will ensure a pristine environment, contributing to a positive experience for everyone in the space. Key Responsibilities Perform routine and specialized cleaning of flooring surfaces, including carpet, vinyl, tile, and hardwood. Operate, maintain, and store floor cleaning equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, and extractors. Apply appropriate cleaning, waxing, and polishing chemicals according to safety standards and manufacturer guidelines. Conduct floor inspections to identify damage or areas needing repair and report to the maintenance supervisor. Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations while handling cleaning agents and equipment. Work collaboratively with custodial staff to provide comprehensive cleaning services. Assist in setting up and tearing down event spaces as needed. Maintain supply inventory by tracking usage and communicating needs to management. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in floor maintenance or a similar role is preferred. Knowledge of cleaning equipment, tools, and chemicals. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions precisely. Excellent problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work [insert work schedule, e.g., nights/weekends]. Physical stamina to perform manual tasks and lift heavy equipment.
