As part of the DHL Group, you will be working with a global network of Procurement colleagues and benefit from a wide range of development opportunities.Job Purpose:Implement best local / sub-regional category specific strategies. Work closely with local procurement teams to ensure, identify and recommend best in class suppliers and maintain good relationship. Prepare and lead supplier negotiations at local level.Your tasks:Lead the strategy for the Transportation Americas category. Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of relevant carrier modes (Ground, Air, Ocean).Specializes in strategic sourcing of transportation capacities to reduce costs and ensure quality and supply as needed by the business / function in scope.Manage regional sourcing initiatives (from demand analysis to contract implementation) incl. preparation and leading of carrier negotiations via Jaggaer’s ASO platform. Support of Global sourcing initiatives and projects (from demand analysis to contract implementation).Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of local: - markets / category trends - suppliers / key local playersEnsure country/ sub-region requirements and issues are addressed in corporate / regional strategiesPrepare, conduct and lead tenders (incl. e-sourcing)Ensure policy adherence of local divisional colleagueSupplier management: - database maintenance - supplier classification - new sources identification (Salesforce / Evolution)Track and maintain accurate data in the Procurement tools: - suppliers, rates, spend, projects, master dataContribute to the cooperation between countries and sourcingStakeholdersConnect with and influence other specialist departments and 3rd parties e.g. external service providersMay convince others to accept new concepts, practices, and approachesBuild strong, trusting cross-functional relationships with DPDHL managersUnderstand customer and key stakeholders interests and concerns and advise direct reports, customers and key stakeholdersProvide technical guidance to line managers and employeesNew supplier types (e.g. Startups) GoGreen/DPDHL Group CSR Your profile:Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience/qualificationExperience LevelMore than 8 yearsWe offer:Great opportunity to work for the biggest logistics company in the worldInternational and virtual environmentFlexibility and great opportunity to learnTempting Compensation and benefitsDHL is an equal opportunity employer.
