Insurance Coverage Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks an Insurance Coverage Attorney in Newark, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance coverage or related fields. This role requires managing a caseload from start to finish, demonstrating strong judgment, and maintaining professional communication. The attorney will primarily work from the New Jersey office while supporting matters across the firm's footprint. Duties Analyze insurance and reinsurance policies and draft detailed coverage opinions. Review complex insurance contracts and assess related legal issues. Communicate with clients to provide clear and strategic coverage recommendations. Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents. Manage litigation caseloads, including depositions and court appearances. Perform in-depth legal research and respond to regulatory inquiries. Maintain strong client relationships and deliver exceptional service. Accurately record and maintain billable hours. Requirements Admission to practice in the State of New York is required. Federal Court experience is a plus. At least 5 years of experience in insurance coverage or related fields. Exceptional writing, research, and analytical skills. Experience with written discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation. Insurance defense experience is a plus. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
