Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician

ATC West Healthcare is urgently seeking a locum OB/GYN Physician for short-term 24-hour call coverage in a combined clinic/hospital setting. This role focuses primarily on labor and delivery, OB call, and urgent gynecologic care, with responsibility for routine and complicated deliveries while remaining within close proximity to the hospital. It is an excellent fit for a board-certified or truly board-eligible OB/GYN with recent delivery volume and C-section experience who can provide immediate coverage.

Dates / Schedule

• Coverage Dates: Thursday, 05/14/2026 Friday, 05/15/2026
• Shift: 7:00 AM on 5/14 through 7:00 AM on 5/15 (24-hour call)
• Call Requirement: Must remain within 30 minutes of hospital at all times while on call
• Practice Setting: Clinic/Hospital On Call OB/GYN
• Call Rotation: 1:4 weekday/weekend rotation

Job Details / Responsibilities

• Provide full OB/GYN call coverage including labor and delivery management
• Average approximately 1 delivery per day (hospital averages 360 births/year)
• Manage low-risk pregnancies and occasional urgent OB presentations
• Perform routine vaginal deliveries and decision-making for C-sections
• Handle complicated deliveries including C-sections, breech, multiple births, and abruptions
• Interpret fetal heart rate testing (NST/FSE)
• Perform and interpret OB ultrasounds including viability, Level I, and Level II studies
• Repair 3rd and 4th degree lacerations as needed
• Use Meditech Expanse EMR for documentation
• Work alongside nursing staff (no APP supervision required)
• High-risk pregnancies typically transferred to tertiary centers
• C-section rate approximately 30%

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Board Certified or truly Board Eligible (within 1 year of graduation) in OB/GYN required
• ABOG or AOA-accredited OB/GYN residency required
• Active Ohio medical license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Clean malpractice and licensure history preferred
• Must be internally credentialed with agency before submission
• Recent experience of at least 50 deliveries in the past 12 months, including at least 5 C-sections, required for credentialing
• Ability to independently manage OB emergencies, labor, delivery, and C-sections in a community hospital setting
