Accounting specialist

Processing and maintaining accounts payable records, reconciling vendor’s statements, and assuring accurate payments to suppliers. Updating and reconciling the sub‑ledger to the general ledger. Maintaining cash applications, and chargebacks. Maintaining organized and accurate financial records and documentation. Reconciling accounts payable transactions and resolving any discrepancies. Reviewing and verifying invoices for accuracy and appropriate authorization. Preparing and processing electronic transfers for payments and managing payments. Delivering analytical, organized and detail‑oriented accounting expertise. Providing meaningful analysis, interpretation, and presentation of accounting and financial data, including communicating complex ideas to senior managers. Assuring compliance with government regulations, as required. Exercises responsibility for the accuracy and timely reporting of financial data. Analyze, implement, and calculate overhead rates and break down fixed vs. variable cost. Reviews and monitors internal controls, including Sarbanes‑Oxley requirements. May supervise other team members. You are the right person for this job (Minimum requirements) Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. 4-5 years of working experience in account payables, accounting, financial and business principles that maximized revenue and profits in a manufactured environment. Supervisory experience. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Working knowledge of JD Edwards is a plus. Good communication skills and ability to communicate with upper management. This position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
