Accounting Assistant

Location: Fort Worth, TX | Onsite

Pay: $25.00–$27.00/hour, DOE

Schedule: Monday–Friday

Are you detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and someone who enjoys figuring things out? We’re looking for an Accounting Assistant to join a Finance team in a unique role that goes beyond traditional accounting.

The ideal candidate has some accounting or financial experience, strong Excel skills, and a willingness to learn. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, technology, and finding more efficient ways to get things done.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general accounting and finance support, including basic reconciliations and transaction research
  • Assist with banking activities and financial reporting
  • Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets and reports
  • Research discrepancies and help resolve issues
  • Follow up on orders and requests with internal teams and external contacts
  • Maintain accurate financial and business records
  • Navigate accounting, ERP, and internal business systems
  • Assist with administrative tasks and special projects across the business
  • Identify opportunities to improve everyday processes and workflows
  • Explore ways AI and other technology can improve efficiency
Qualifications
  • Some accounting, finance, banking, administrative, or related business experience
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong problem-solving and research skills
  • Comfortable learning new technology and systems
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills
  • Flexible and willing to assist with a variety of responsibilities
  • Curious, adaptable, and eager to learn
Preferred, But Not Required
  • PivotTables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
  • ERP or accounting software experience
  • Familiarity with Excel macros
  • Interest in AI, automation, or process improvement
