The Accounting Manager will oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, supervise the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams, and ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with nonprofit accounting standards. Competitive Benefits Opportunity for career growth Purposeful work Contractor Benefits include: Medical (starting 1st of the month following hire) Dental Vision 401k Job Details Responsibilities Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, month‑end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting Supervise and mentor Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable staff, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to internal controls Manage grant accounting activities, including tracking restricted funding, monitoring grant expenditures, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and audit preparation activities Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards, organizational policies, and regulatory requirements Review and improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting procedures Partner with leadership and program teams to provide financial analysis and operational support Assist with special projects and other accounting management responsibilities as needed Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Prior nonprofit accounting experience required, including grant accounting experience Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to work with complex spreadsheets, formulas, pivot tables, and financial reporting tools Experience working within the harm reduction sector and/or with SAPC‑funded programs or grants is preferred but not required Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
