Human Resources Coordinator

Employee Relations Coordinator Location: Sacramento, CA Are you early in your HR career and passionate about employee relations, workplace culture, and supporting leaders through complex situations? We're partnering with a mission-driven healthcare organization seeking an Employee Relations Coordinator to play a key role in fostering a positive, fair, and high-performing work environment. This is a great opportunity to grow your HR career in a hands‑on role where you'll partner closely with leaders, support employees, and gain exposure to a wide range of employee relations and compliance initiatives. What You’ll Do Serve as a liaison between HR and employees, helping promote a positive and respectful workplace culture Support managers with coaching guidance related to employee performance, conduct, and workplace concerns Partner with leadership to develop performance improvement plans and corrective action steps aligned with fair and consistent practices Assist with employee relations matters including investigations, policy interpretation, and conflict resolution Support workers' compensation administration, including documentation tracking and coordination with insurance providers Review and process terminations while ensuring compliance with policies and employment laws Assist with audits, compliance initiatives, and communication of HR policies and updates Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations What You Bring 12 years of HR experience, ideally in a generalist or employee relations‑focused role Strong communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally and objectively Ability to build relationships and work effectively with employees and leaders at all levels Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines High level of discretion and commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards Proficiency in HR systems, payroll tools, and Microsoft Office HR certification (PHR/SPHR) and healthcare or nonprofit experience are a plus Why This Role Join a collaborative, mission‑driven organization focused on making a meaningful impact in the community Gain hands‑on experience across a wide range of employee relations and HR functions Work in an environment that values growth, continuous learning, and professional development Competitive benefits including medical coverage, paid time off, retirement options, and professional development support Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Sacramento, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $50000.00/yr.
