Human Resources Coordinator

$20 - $25 per hour

LHH is teaming up with a healthcare services organization in Sacramento, CA in search of a Human Resources Coordinator to support a busy HR team with day-to-day operations, onboarding, and compliance-driven administrative processes. This is a 6 month contract opportunity supporting a well-established healthcare environment that provides essential services to its community. The team is seeking additional support due to increased workload, offering an opportunity to gain hands-on exposure across recruiting, onboarding, payroll coordination, and employee records management. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured, fast-paced environment and values accuracy and confidentiality. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities at once. This individual brings prior HR administrative or coordinator experience, preferably within a healthcare or similarly regulated environment, and is confident handling sensitive information. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally are important, along with a proactive approach to supporting team needs. Key Responsibilities Facilitate new hire onboarding processes, including scheduling, preparation, and coordination of orientation sessions Support recruiting efforts by reviewing resumes and coordinating interviews Process I-9 documentation and verify employment eligibility in compliance with federal regulations Maintain and organize employee records (digital and physical) to ensure accuracy and compliance Prepare and process personnel action forms and support payroll reporting activities Partner with payroll to assist with employee status changes, final checks, and adjustments Coordinate employee access, including ID badges and system access requests Maintain confidentiality of all employee information and adhere to compliance standards Provide general HR administrative support and assist with special projects as needed Qualifications Minimum 1–2 years of human resources or administrative experience (healthcare or regulated industry preferred) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Experience handling confidential information required Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar systems required High school diploma or equivalent required Job Type: Contract Start Date: ASAP Location: Fully on-site in Sacramento, CA Hours: Full-time, regular office hours Pay Rate: $20–$25/hour (based on experience) Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and 401K plan.
