Human Resources Generalist

San José-Evergreen Community College District is currently recruiting a temporary Human Resources Generalist, with an hourly pay rate of $55.29. The location will be at the District Office in downtown San Jose and the work schedule is Monday through Friday; 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The assignment is available through December 18, 2026. Responsibilities Perform a variety of advanced para‑professional human resources functions required to support District managers and employees. Implement day‑to‑day operations of the Human Resources department, including assisting management, faculty and staff. Maintain Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) data and physical personnel records. Handle payroll and salary administration, contract administration, training and professional development, benefits, employment services, and basic employee relations. Preferred Experience Experience working in a human resources function at a higher‑education institution is preferred. Required Qualifications An associate degree from an accredited institution with coursework in human resources management, business administration or a related field. Three years of experience performing paraprofessional human resources functions.
