As the company continues to expand, they are seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative who can develop new shipper relationships and build a profitable book of flatbed freight business.

Position Overview

\n

The Flatbed Freight Brokerage will be responsible for generating new business, developing customer relationships, and growing revenue within the flatbed freight brokerage market.

\n

This is an experienced sales producer role designed for a transportation professional who understands flatbed/open-deck freight, has established industry relationships, and can independently generate opportunities.

\n

The ideal candidate has experience selling transportation solutions to shippers and can quickly develop a pipeline, close new accounts, and drive profitable freight volume.

\n

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Develop new business opportunities with direct shippers requiring flatbed, open-deck, step-deck, Conestoga, oversized, and specialized transportation solutions.
\n
• Build and manage a profitable portfolio of shipper accounts.
\n
• Prospect new customers through cold calling, networking, referrals, email outreach, and industry relationships.
\n
• Identify customer freight needs, develop transportation solutions, and negotiate profitable agreements.
\n
• Build strong relationships with decision-makers, including manufacturers, industrial companies, and construction-related businesses.
\n
• Collaborate with operations and carrier teams to ensure successful freight execution.
\n
• Maintain consistent communication with customers regarding pricing, capacity, service performance, and market conditions.
\n
• Expand existing accounts by identifying additional freight opportunities, lanes, and facilities.
\n
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurately forecast revenue and gross profit opportunities.
\n

Requirements

\n

\n
• Proven experience in freight brokerage, third-party logistics, or transportation sales.
\n
• Direct experience selling flatbed or open-deck transportation services .
\n
• Demonstrated success generating new shipper accounts and growing customer relationships.
\n
• Track record of producing measurable revenue or gross profit results.
\n
• Established customer relationships, active pipeline, or ability to quickly develop new business opportunities.
\n
• Strong understanding of:

• Flatbed freight
\n
• Open-deck equipment
\n
• Step-deck
\n
• Conestoga
\n
• Oversized and specialized freight
\n
• Freight pricing and capacity management
\n
• Transportation lanes and market conditions
\n
• Ability to independently prospect, negotiate, and close new business.
