Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for a diverse patient demographic, including pediatric, adult, and elderly populations using both standardized assessments and observational analysis.
• Craft individualized treatment plans that align with each patient's unique communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs while focusing on both immediate and long-term goals.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions targeting various aspects such as communication, language development, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing difficulties.
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and family members, to develop cohesive strategies for patient care.
• Educate patients and their families, ensuring continued progress and understanding beyond therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless care continuum throughout the patient's treatment journey.
• Maintain precise and complete documentation in line with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in continuing education and collaboration with peers to stay updated on the latest advancements in the field.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successfully completed a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA certified.

Certifications

• Possession of state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
