Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using both standardized assessments and observational evaluations.
• Create tailored treatment plans that encompass both immediate targets and long-term goals relating to communication, cognition, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy focusing on various aspects of communication, including language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to establish comprehensive treatment strategies.
• Provide resources and education for patients and families to facilitate continued support and progress outside of clinical appointments.
• Assist with the occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments, ensuring a smooth continuity of care throughout every stage of the treatment journey.
• Accurately document clinical findings and patient progress in compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field through continuing education and peer networking opportunities.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not fully ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
