Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations using standardized assessments tailored for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Design customized treatment strategies that align with both short-term and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
  • Implement individual speech therapy interventions that encompass fluency, voice, swallowing, and overall communication skills.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and family members, to craft comprehensive care plans.
  • Provide educational resources and support for families to enhance progress beyond the confines of therapy.
  • Occasionally participate in inpatient evaluations and interventions to assure uninterrupted patient care throughout their treatment process.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay attuned to innovations within the field.
Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
  • Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
Certifications Needed
  • Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary within the first month of employment.
