- Conduct thorough evaluations using standardized assessments tailored for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Design customized treatment strategies that align with both short-term and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
- Implement individual speech therapy interventions that encompass fluency, voice, swallowing, and overall communication skills.
- Collaborate seamlessly with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and family members, to craft comprehensive care plans.
- Provide educational resources and support for families to enhance progress beyond the confines of therapy.
- Occasionally participate in inpatient evaluations and interventions to assure uninterrupted patient care throughout their treatment process.
- Maintain meticulous documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay attuned to innovations within the field.
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
- Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
- Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary within the first month of employment.
- Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities across different age groups, with a solid insight into both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients, their families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Adept at tailoring therapy techniques to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to make clinical judgments.
