Description

• Assess patients across all age groups utilizing standardized testing and direct observation techniques.
• Create individualized treatment plans targeting both immediate milestones and enduring communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver personalized therapy interventions for language, dysphagia, fluency, and voice disorders.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of physical and occupational therapists, physicians, nurses, and family caregivers to construct integrated care plans.
• Provide educational resources to patients and their families, enhancing progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Conduct occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, maintaining continuity in patient care.
• Document evaluations and therapy sessions accurately, aligned with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in lifelong learning by participating in continuing education and peer discussions to stay at the forefront of the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
