Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized assessments as well as observational techniques.
• Craft individualized treatment strategies that cater to both short-term objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver personal speech therapy sessions concentrated on enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to form cohesive care plans.
• Educate patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond the clinical setting.
• Assist with infrequent inpatient therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout the treatment process.
• Document patient progress accurately and promptly in compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Remain engaged with advancements within the field through ongoing education and professional collaboration.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
