Join Allied Universal as an Armed Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $18.93 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTime Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate contacts. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor access points and verify credentials, deliveries, and/or visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to support controlled entry to sensitive operational areas. Support emergency and hazardous condition response by following post orders, communicating with site personnel and/or first responders, and maintaining awareness of location‑specific risks and protocols. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 1 year of security-related experience. An armed guard card and/or license is required. Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
