Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $22.92 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon, Fri, Sat, Sun 04:00 PM – 12:00 AM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and report observations through required site documentation and/or communication channels. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and/or identify concerns. Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry for employees, contractors, and/or visitors in accordance with site protocols and government location requirements. Support daily operations by observing surroundings, assisting with directions and general inquiries, and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders when needed. Minimum Requirements: Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree. Possess 1+ years of security-related experience. Be 21+ years of age. Handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton experience is preferred. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
