Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $20.13 / Hour Required: 1 Year Verifiable Experience Job Schedule Wed: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sun: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM What You'll Do Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with site contacts and/or local authorities as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials when required, and support access control processes in accordance with site policies and post instructions. Prepare clear reports on incidents, patrol activity, and daily operations, and communicate relevant updates to supervisors and/or designated personnel. Minimum Requirements Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience. Be at least 21 years of age. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred. Possess customer service experience preferred. Possess access control or badge experience preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
