Job Details:

• Locum Tenens coverage beginning with orientation on 6/10/2026 with ongoing opportunities available
• 24-hour call coverage structured 7a-7a; no in-house call required
• Response time to be on-site within 20 minutes when called in
• Typically 2-4 calls per night with 1-2 expected on-site call-ins
• Approximately 1-5 patient encounters per shift with an average of 2-5 inpatient calls per 24-hour period
• Physicians are not required to remain on-site during night or weekend call but are required to round and discharge patients
• Average on-site call-back hours expected: 2-4 hours per day
• If assignment is strictly 24-hour call: 2-4 hours per day of rounding, with remaining hours on-call with call-back
• Physicians must document on timesheets the specific reason for each call-back with sufficient detail to validate against electronic health records if audited
• Telephone calls and medical record reviews should not be considered on-site call-back hours
• Responsible for rounding on new admissions and any inpatients requiring follow-up
• Patient consults and any on-call questions or transfer consult questions required
• Common procedures include: kidney stone management, consults on continuous bladder irrigation (CBI), stent placements, hematuria management, and difficult catheter placements
• General adult urology skills required
• Ureteroscopy required
• Board certification required; active Michigan medical license required
• Estimated credentialing timeframe: 60 days
