Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their physical capabilities and limitations, determining the most effective treatment plans tailored to their rehabilitation goals.
• Utilize a variety of treatment techniques including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, modalities, and patient education to improve mobility and reduce pain.
• Document patient progress meticulously in accordance with insurance guidelines and prepare treatment reports that detail changes in patient condition.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, setting realistic and achievable therapeutic goals to ensure optimal recovery.
• Regularly assess treatment effectiveness and modify plans as necessary based on patient feedback and clinical judgement.
• Instruct patients and their families on the proper use of assistive devices, exercises for home care, and essential lifestyle modifications to enhance recovery.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on industry best practices by attending workshops, engaging in professional networking, and reviewing relevant literature.

Qualifications

• A valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the State of Florida, with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree preferred.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer skills to document treatments and assessments effectively.
• A commitment to continuous professional development, including attending workshops and seeking additional certifications when applicable.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting is preferred but not required for exceptional candidates.
