Preconstruction Manager

Leads estimating and preconstruction from concept through award, providing cost analysis, constructability reviews, and project strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop estimates, budgets, and pricing strategies.
• Review plans and specifications for scope, constructability, and risk.
• Coordinate with clients, design teams, operations, and trade partners.
• Manage bid solicitation, subcontractor pricing, and proposal evaluation.
• Perform takeoffs, cost analysis, and estimate validation using OST and Excel.
• Identify value engineering and cost-saving opportunities.
• Manage multiple pursuits and deadlines.
• Present budgets, estimates, and recommendations.
• Support project handoff and business development efforts.

Requirements

• 5+ years in preconstruction, estimating, or commercial construction.
• Experience with BuildingConnected, OST, and Excel.
• Commercial construction experience (industrial, office, retail, or TI).
• Strong plan-reading, communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to build and maintain trade partner relationships.

Preferred

• General contractor or design-build experience.
• Experience presenting to clients and leadership.
• Trade experience with progression into estimating or preconstruction.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Dallas, TX.

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
