Details Med/Surg Tele unit in a 27-bed East Tower specializing in Urology Patient population includes Nephrology, Urology (surgical and non-surgical), Benign Hematology, and general Med/Surg cases Estimated patient ratio of 1:4-5 Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM Every other weekend and every other holiday required No call requirements Floating to different units within the health system as needed Requirements Active OH or compact RN license required BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Epic EMR experience required Skills required: IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and intermediate care Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management required Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and non-invasive airway management required IV therapy/phlebotomy and peripheral line care/management skills required Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager/director or supervisor and the second from a charge RN or higher (no coworker references accepted) Additional Information Responsible for providing care to and administering/managing hazardous medications Previous travel experience preferred but first-time travelers will be considered Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly after signing contract due to strict compliance timelines Former employees eligible to return as travelers after 6 months away from the facility Current employees of any Ohio State University hospital location are ineligible for this traveler position Local candidates accepted at the same rate RTO must be submitted and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less American Traveler Job ID P-750952.
