CHIEF Development Officer

UVA External Relations

The University of Virginia seeks an inaugural Chief Development Officer for the Manning Institute of Biotechnology, reporting to senior development leadership. This role will build a philanthropic program from the ground up and coordinate with the CSO and MIoB to fund scholarships, professorships, education, and facility buildout.

Lead a cross‑school fundraising effort across Medicine, Engineering, Arts & Sciences, and Data Science, shaping a new model for donor engagement and advancing clinical
