Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Telemetry experience Experience with titratable or cardiac IV medications Description: Unit Information: Number of Beds: 40 Staffing: Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 10 Bedside Nurses, 4 Patient Care Technicians, 1 Unit Secretary Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 10 Bedside Nurses, 3 Patient Care Technicians Patient Ratio: 1:4, stretch staffing at 1:5 ratio Type of Patients: Patients with congestive heart failure, myocardial infarction, chest pain, arrhythmias, pulmonary hypertension, valvular disease, endocarditis, diabetic ketoacidosis, post cardiac catheterization/stenting, and post pacemaker/ICD/ablation. Type of Equipment: Zoll monitors, Baxter pumps, lift equipment, bladder scanners, EMR system (Cerner). Typical Procedures Performed: Bedside cardioversion. Best Personality Fit: Flexible Positive attitude Great team player Compassionate Floating Areas: All Medical Surgical units, Stepdown units, COVID unit, and Emergency Room holding. Dress Code: All white or all navy blue or a white top with navy blue pants. Weekends and On-call: Every other weekend. General Comments: One position available.
