Food and Beverage Attendant-02 INT – 6751 Location: MWR Kodiak, Kodiak, AK, US Pay Plan/Series/Pay Band: NA-7401-02 Work Schedule: Intermittent (0-19 hours/week) Salary: $18.23/hour Duties The position assists in operations of MWR Food and Beverage businesses, creating an attractive and friendly environment and maintaining product quality, cleanliness, and inventory. Welcoming customers, maintaining product knowledge, and assisting with selection of products. Operating Point of Sale register, collecting cash/credit, managing change fund, and reconciling cash drawer at shift end. Preparing, packaging, and serving made‑to‑order beverages, snacks, and ready‑to‑serve foods; setting up counters and side service stands. Serving food and beverages for buffet or catered events when required. Cleaning equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and keeping customer service areas clean. Following store policies for merchandising, stocking, rotating, and storing products; monitoring inventory waste or shrinkage. Participating in periodic stock counts or inventory taking. Maintaining strict food safety and sanitation standards; sweeping, mopping floors, disposing of food waste and trash; assisting in unloading and storing supplies. Must be available to work evenings and weekends and possess excellent customer service skills. Qualifications Required Minimum: Basic math skills for calculating patron bills and taking inventory. Basic food preparation and handling techniques. Knowledge of basic sanitation principles. Capability to lift and move objects up to 20 pounds and frequently walk, bend, stoop, pull, push, and reach. Ability to read and understand written material and follow instructions. Obtain a Food Handlers Certificate and/or complete Food Handler’s Training within 30 days of appointment. Preferred (in addition to minimum): One‑year or more experience in food service or related industry. Possession of a Food Handlers Certificate.
