Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to evaluate the mental health needs of students, identifying appropriate therapeutic interventions tailored to individual circumstances.

• Provide short-term individual counseling sessions to address a wide array of concerns, including anxiety, depression, and personal issues affecting students' well-being.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions and workshops, focusing on crucial topics such as stress management, coping skills, and personal development to foster resilience among students.

• Partner with academic advisors, residential life staff, and student organizations to ensure a holistic support network for each student, creating a seamless referral system when necessary.

• Engage in outreach initiatives, including mental health awareness campaigns and wellness events, aimed at normalizing conversations about mental health and expanding visibility of counseling services.

• Maintain accurate, confidential client records in compliance with all ethical and legal standards, utilizing appropriate digital tools for documentation and analysis.

You will primarily work with a diverse population of college students, each facing unique challenges related to their educational and personal experiences. Your expertise will guide these individuals as they navigate significant life transitions, providing a safe space for them to express themselves and receive tailored support.

Qualifications\n

• The candidate must possess an active license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).

• A Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required, while a Master's or doctoral degree is preferred.

• Demonstrated understanding of the unique mental health challenges faced by students in a collegiate environment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building rapport with students and collaborating effectively with a diverse campus community.

• Knowledge and application of evidence-based practices and brief therapy models that are appropriate for a university counseling context.

• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing a diverse caseload with varying needs.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of experience in counseling, particularly in a school or university setting, is preferred.
