Job Summary Join our culinary team as a Sushi Sous Chef at UBS in Weehawken, NJ (1000 Harbor Blvd.), where you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional sushi offerings for both our café and catering operations. This Monday–Friday position offers primarily daytime hours, with holidays and weekends off! Essential Duties and Responsibilities Support the successful culinary operations, including planning and menu creation, preparation, and cooking, service Providing outstanding service to guests and clients Manage a culinary team Rolls out new culinary programs in conjunction with the marketing and culinary team Assists with managing cost controls and controlling expenditure, inventory, and ordering Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications At least 3 years of related experience as a Sushi Chef, including supervisory experience, is required Experience in fine dining, restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, higher education, or related food service operations Knowledge of food and industry trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, safety, food cost controls, and presentation Supervisory, leadership, training, management, and coaching skills ServSafe or Department of Health Certification is preferred Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Excel Restaurant Associates is a member of Compass Group USA Compass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
