Seasonal - Workforce Manager (Nationals Park) Seasonal Nationals Park, Washington, DC, US SEASONAL WORKFORCE MANAGER About Social House Holiday Social House Holiday is the holiday events division of Social House Entertainment. We produce Enchant Christmas, one of the largest Christmas light festivals in North America, running nightly across multiple markets from late fall through early January. Our events are large-scale, immersive experiences built and operated by a seasonal team that comes together each year to pull it off. About the Role The Workforce Manager is a seasonal role that owns all workforce operations at a single Enchant Christmas event, from pre-season hiring through off boarding. This person builds and maintains the staffing infrastructure for the site (recruiting, scheduling, timekeeping, compliance, and labor reporting) and is the primary workforce resource for the full site team from install through load-out. What You'll Do Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Source, recruit, and hire seasonal staff to fill the full site roster before opening. Manage the complete hiring funnel: job postings, screening, offers, and onboarding documentation. Confirm that training requirements are completed before staff are cleared for deployment. Manage offboarding at season end; maintain staff rosters, training records, and compliance logs throughout the season. Scheduling and Platform Management Own When I Work as the market's scheduling and timekeeping system. Manage area lead designations within the cross-trained event staff pool. Adjust assignments in real time based on actual staffing needs. Timekeeping and Payroll Review Monitor clock-in/out procedures across all shifts. Review and approve timesheets weekly; flag discrepancies before payroll submission. Maintain accurate records throughout the season. Attendance and Compliance Monitor daily attendance and manage callouts and no-shows in real time, coordinating fill coverage with the Event Producer or Event Manager. Ensure compliance with labor laws, break requirements, and company policies throughout the season. Serve as first point of contact for employee relations concerns; elevate to HR as appropriate. Act as a designated safety team member on site and support HR through workers' compensation reporting and follow-up. Labor Reporting Provide ongoing labor reporting in partnership with the Event Producer or Event Manager, including headcount actuals versus plan, hours worked by area, and attendance trends. Prepare the end-of-season workforce report covering total hours worked, payroll summary, and staffing performance data. Staff Communication Maintain all workforce communication for the site: daily info boards, schedule updates, policy reminders, and real-time staffing changes throughout the operating season. What We're Looking For 3+ years in workforce management, HR operations, or event staffing, with direct experience managing scheduling and timekeeping for large hourly workforces. Hands-on experience with scheduling or workforce management platforms. When I Work experience preferred. Working knowledge of compliance requirements for hourly and seasonal labor, including break scheduling and overtime rules. Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment where schedules change daily and staffing issues require immediate resolution. Event or live entertainment experience preferred. Logistics Location: Nationals Park -1500 South Capital Street SE, Washington, DC 20003 Season : October through mid to late January. This role covers all three phases: install, run of show, and load-out. Schedule : Evenings, weekends, and all holiday dates are required. Availability across full event operating hours is expected throughout the season. Physical requirements : Venues span 100,000+ sq ft. Frequent walking and standing throughout shifts.
