Packaging Equipment Operator- Columbus Plant
$17.15 - $34.25 per hourAbbott
Abbott seeks a packaging equipment operator for its Columbus nutrition manufacturing plant. The role involves operating high-speed production equipment, performing equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, quality checks, and ensuring compliance with FDA and safety regulations on a rotating 12-hour day shift.
Responsibilities
- Operate high-speed production equipment safely according to established procedures
- Perform equipment startups, shutdowns, jam clearance, and troubleshoot downtime issues
- Conduct quality checks and report abnormal equipment or product problems
- Maintain clean, organized work area using 5S principles and ensure material/product proper identification
- Complete production documentation, batch work orders, and report all safety incidents
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior manufacturing, production line, or equipment operator experience
- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping abilities
- Ability to communicate production information clearly to team members
- Capability to manage material inventory and monitor supply usage
- Experience with RF scanners (preferred)
Compensation: $17.15–$34.25/hour
