About the Opportunity As a Manufacturing Engineer I, you will contribute to process development, quality improvement, NPI, hands on manufacturing and productivity enhancement in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet customer specifications and standards, while developing foundational expertise in manufacturing engineering. Location Eastford, CT Full-time role 7:00 am to 3:30 PM Monday through Friday with occasional weekends. Responsibilities Develop and implement efficient manufacturing process plans with guidance from senior engineers, specifying sequence, technique, equipment, and tooling requirements. Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and sketches to ensure product compliance with customer requirements. Assist in process capability study and analysis for CNC Program creation or improvements. Support the design, engineering and implementation of tooling for manufacturing processes. Work closely with shop floor associates to troubleshoot and resolve production challenges. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen or Six Sigma to optimize processes. Review and recommend modifications to customer blueprints and other documentation with supervision from senior engineers. Maintain compliance with Pursuit Aerospace's quality systems, safety protocols, and operational standards. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis. Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations. Preferred Qualifications At least 1 year of manufacturing engineering experience. Experience working in an AS9100 environment. Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering degree is preferred. Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and technical documents. Familiarity with CNC programming and tooling design. Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Proficiency in CAD software and Microsoft Office Suite. Working Conditions Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk. Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds. Personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses and safety shoes) is required on the shop floor. Occasional weekend and evening work may be required to accommodate priorities, deadlines, and schedules.
