RN Dialysis

The Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients undergoing dialysis treatment. This role involves performing patient assessments, administering medications, monitoring treatment plans, and collaborating closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The Dialysis RN must demonstrate strong clinical skills, effective communication, and adaptability to varied shifts including days and nights. Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care to dialysis patients, including monitoring vital signs and treatment responses.
• Administer medications and manage dialysis equipment safely and effectively.
• Perform patient assessments and document clinical findings accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding dialysis procedures and care management.
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Float to other units, departments, or patient care areas as needed based on staffing and operational demands.

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably including dialysis or related clinical settings.
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• BLS certification or equivalent CPR training.

• Experience in dialysis nursing or nephrology care.
• Additional certifications related to dialysis or critical care nursing.

• Must meet Low/Mid/High performer expectations; failure to meet performance standards may result in immediate contract termination.
• Flexibility to float to other units or departments as operational needs dictate.
• Work environment includes dialysis unit with exposure to specialized equipment and patient populations requiring ongoing monitoring.

• Varied shifts including day and night schedules.
• Shift assignments based on staffing needs and operational requirements.
