ER Registrar

Role Responsible for hospital registration functions in a fast-paced Emergency Department, including patient registration, insurance verification, revenue collection, resource referrals, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Conduct patient interviews accurately, manage registration and visit data using systems like Flowcast and EPIC ED, verify insurance benefits, handle copay collections, and ensure adherence to EMTALA, HIPAA, and Joint Commission regulations. Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively under stressful conditions. Multitask efficiently in a high-volume environment. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent; 2 years registration experience in a trauma or high-volume outpatient setting preferred. Knowledge of medical insurance, authorization, referral processes, and medical terminology. Proficiency with registration systems; certification in Cooper IDX training required.
