Description

• Conduct thorough assessments for patients of all ages using standardized tests and tailored observations.
• Create individualized therapy plans that cater to both immediate needs and longer-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver specialized speech therapy interventions targeting communication, language skills, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing functions.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including other therapists, nurses, and families, to ensure comprehensive care.
• Educate patients and their families, facilitating progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Participate in inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
• Keep meticulous records that comply with all regulations and standards.
• Commit to ongoing professional development and stay abreast of the latest in speech-language pathology.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• A valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
