R&D Laboratory Technician

R&D Laboratory TechnicianpH Matter, LLC is a small business developing materials for advanced energy storage and aerospace applications. The company specializes in development of catalysts and carbon nano-materials, and manufactures components for batteries, fuel cells, and electrolysis equipment. We have a need for a research and development laboratory technician who will assist with the preparation of components and perform testing. Candidates should have strong interest in working in an R&D environment and be comfortable with a laboratory setting. The position will be full-time with benefits and a competitive salary.Responsibilities include:Perform batch calculations to support material synthesisUse wet chemistry techniques to prepare catalystsOperate equipment for synthesis of carbon nano-materialsFabricate electrodes using coating equipmentAssemble fuel cells and lithium ion batteriesPerform analyses and statistical comparisons of results to contribute to technical reportsPerform QC testing of products, compounds, or batchesMaintain, operate, and calibrate laboratory equipment, including necessary suppliesQualifications:Associates degree or higher in chemistry or related field is desiredAttention to detail and ability to work safely in a lab environment is essentialAbility to use Microsoft word and excel is requiredExcellent oral and written communications skills is desired
