Benefits Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Benefits Manager based in the United States.

This role is responsible for managing and optimizing employee benefits programs in a fully remote corporate and technology environment.
The Benefits Manager will help shape benefits strategy while ensuring programs are effectively administered and aligned with organizational needs.
The position requires strong ownership of benefits operations, vendor coordination, employee communications, and compliance-related activities.
A key focus will be leading the full open enrollment lifecycle, from planning and strategy through implementation and post-enrollment audits.
The role also calls for hands-on experience with medical plan structures, including transitions from fully insured or level-funded plans to self-funded arrangements.
Success will require strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, along with the ability to collaborate across HR, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

Accountabilities:

• Lead the administration and ongoing management of employee benefits programs, ensuring effective execution and alignment with organizational needs.
• Own the full lifecycle of annual open enrollment, including strategy development, vendor coordination, implementation, employee communications, and post-enrollment audits.
• Coordinate with benefits providers and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant delivery of benefits programs.
• Support the design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of medical and other employee benefit plans.
• Apply hands-on expertise in medical plan structures, including self-funded, fully insured, and level-funded arrangements.
• Monitor benefits operations, identify opportunities for process improvement, and help ensure a high-quality employee experience.
• Manage benefits-related communications and provide clear guidance to employees and stakeholders throughout the benefits lifecycle.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience managing employee benefits programs in a corporate HR environment.
• Direct, hands-on experience leading a transition from a level-funded or fully insured medical plan to a self-funded plan.
• Proven experience owning the complete open enrollment process, from strategy and vendor coordination through employee communications and post-enrollment auditing.
• Strong understanding of benefits administration, medical plan structures, vendor management, and benefits operations.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain benefits information clearly to employees and internal stakeholders.
• Analytical and detail-oriented approach, with a strong focus on accuracy, compliance, and operational effectiveness.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fully remote environment.

Benefits

• Salary: $115,000–$130,000.
• Work arrangement: Fully remote.
• Employment: Full-time position.
