Regional Service Operations Manager

Role Summary The Senior Manager, Regional Field Service will be responsible for regional service strategy and overdelivering on the customer experience at our service locations. This role requires establishing high standards of performance and operational excellence, and the management of regional operations, including vendor management, risk management, and mitigation. The position is field‑based and involves travel throughout the region. The ideal candidate has proven success in managing high performing teams across a regional or national footprint, and is a dynamic and resourceful leader with excellent communication skills. Responsibilities Build and develop a high‑impact team of customer‑facing professionals (technicians, service advisors, detailers, and parts advisors) capable of maintaining regional service centers in a fast‑paced environment. Lead and manage local operations with a servant‑leadership, hands‑on mindset. Execute the launch strategy for new service locations in the region. Deliver on milestones, reports, action items, and risk mitigation plans. Support and implement regional service and parts plans and initiatives. Lead and drive quality and continuous improvement in the region to achieve key performance indicators, including inventory, parts binning, ordering, and system tracking. Manage operational execution and ensure brand standards are met according to company policies. Promote a culture of personal growth and accountability. Collaborate with SME’s and cross‑functional teams to improve field service operations. Maintain book of business, including P&L responsibility and customer satisfaction metrics. Maintain market policy awareness and business‑development strategy for the assigned territory. Regularly interact with customers, families, third‑party affiliates, suppliers, and mobilize service routes or outreach events. Qualifications 8+ years of experience in automotive, OEM, tier‑1, or technical field with emphasis on engineering, quality, service, operations, and supply chain. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Experience leading teams in an automotive, high‑tech, or similar environment. Proven success driving service requirements in a matrix organization. Valid driver’s license with a clean record. Experience managing multiple projects across geographic locations. Broad experience launching and driving strategic process redesign initiatives. Experience in a startup environment and scaling teams is a plus. Ability to travel within and occasionally outside the region. Strong written and communication skills, high attention to detail, and a bias for action. Understanding of problem‑solving methods such as SWOT analysis, Lean, Six Sigma, and Visual Management. Minimum age of 21, no driving‑related suspensions or revocation in the past 3–5 years. Physical ability to perform occupational tasks (standing, walking, carrying up to 50 lbs, etc.). Fluent English reading, writing, and speaking. Pay Disclosure The salary range for this role is $143,700 – $190,370 for Washington‑based applicants. The range reflects expectations of competencies, experience, and geographic location. Eligible candidates may also receive annual performance bonuses and equity awards. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid vacation, sick leave, and a competitive portfolio of insurance benefits (life, medical, dental, vision, disability). Employees may participate in Rivian’s 401(k) Plan and Employee Stock Purchase Program if eligible. Full‑time coverage is effective on the first day of employment; part‑time coverage starts the first of the month following 90 days of employment.
