Works under general supervision to provide administrative support in coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Home Health department.

Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: 2 years of experience. Preferred: 4 years of experience in Medical Office, Home Care Agency, / Computer Network Support.
Generates month end reports and other reports as requested. Benefit verification, Mileage, Office supply orders Performs back-up payroll on bi-weekly basis. Tracks physician orders. Generates weekly late order reports and contacts physician regarding unsigned orders. Assists in monthly audit to ensure accuracy of order database. Maintains inventory of clinical packets (i.e., admission packets, discharge packets, etc.), forms, and office supplies., takes inventory of forms/office supplies and notifies Office Supervisor of needs. Answers telephone in a professional voice, routes call to correct personnel, takes messages as needed. Forwards telephone to answering service at the end of each day and removes forwarding from phone each morning. Performs referral intake. Reviews referral for accuracy and completeness. Contacts referring provider for missing information. Documents in EMR patient registration, patient status changes, and updates referring provider as needed. Performs benefit verification. Conducts prior authorization, re-authorization and follow-up on appeal statuses. Performs other duties as assigned
