Tigg's Canteen Services is currently hiring a Permanent Full-Time Kitchen Manager to join our team at the DeKalb County Jail in Auburn, Indiana .
We are looking for someone who is dependable, motivated, and ready to take on a leadership role in a structured work environment. If you have integrity, a positive attitude, strong character, and enjoy working as part of a team, we would love to hear from you!

As a Kitchen Manager , you will help oversee and support the daily food service operation. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and instructing inmate workers in the kitchen
- Assisting with daily meal preparation
- Preparing, baking, and cooking food
- Following company recipes and procedures
- Helping maintain a clean and organized kitchen
- Assisting with kitchen clean-up
- Working successfully within a structured correctional environment
The ideal candidate will have:
- A positive, can-do attitude
- Strong character and integrity
- The ability to work well in a structured environment
- The ability to read and follow company recipes
- The ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Leadership and teamwork skills
- A willingness to learn and take direction
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work weekends and holidays
- Flexibility to work varying days and hours between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM
- Ability to successfully obtain clearance to enter the facility
Previous food service or kitchen experience is a plus, but it is not required. We are happy to train the right person!
