Main Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Finance Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day financial operations, monthly and annual closing activities, and financial oversight for our U.S. Entities.

 

This position combines operational accounting with financial management and requires a high level of accuracy, ownership, reliability, and confidentiality.

The Finance Manager works in close and continuous collaboration with the Finance team at the company’s headquarters in Germany. The role serves as a key interface between the U.S. entities and headquarters, ensuring close alignment, reliable financial information exchange, and effective coordination on all Finance-related matters.

The position also works closely with local management, Sales Administration, external CPAs, tax advisors, banks, and other professional partners.

 

Finance & Accounting

• Manage and maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts
• Prepare and post journal entries and ensure accurate financial records
• Manage bank accounts, online banking, deposits, payments, and bank reconciliations
• Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes in cooperation with Sales and Accounting Administration as well as with the company’s headquarter
• Apply and reconcile customer and vendor payments
• Manage credit card expenses, employee reimbursements, and related reconciliations
• Coordinate and oversee monthly sales tax processes
• Manage intercompany invoices, payments, and reconciliations
• Process and monitor fixed assets, depreciation, prepaid expenses, and accrued expenses
• Manage deferred revenue and other period-end accounting activities
• Manage and monitor fixed assets, including capitalization, depreciation, transfers and disposals
• Ensure accurate and complete maintenance of the fixed asset register
• Perform regular reconciliations between the fixed asset register and the general ledger.
• Process third-party reseller commissions
• Support and perform monthly and annual closing activities
• Prepare monthly financial statements, including Income Statement and Balance Sheet
• Review monthly AR and AP aging reports and initiate follow-up actions as required
• Process year-end equity changes and retained earnings
• Ensure accurate and timely accounting across the assigned U.S. entities
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness and timely availability of financial data
• Analyze financial results, deviations and key performance indicators.
• Prepare and submit the required financial reporting to headquarter via LucaNet in accordance with Group reporting requirements and deadlines
• Ensure that reported figures are reconciled with the local accounting records and comply with Group reporting standards
• Respond to questions and requests from Group Accounting regarding reported financial information
• Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and management presentations
• Continuously improve reporting structures, processes and data quality

 

Tax, Compliance & External Partners

• Coordinate business insurance policies, licenses, and related operating requirements
• Support external CPAs with quarterly income and franchise tax filings
• Support external CPAs during annual financial reviews
• Coordinate financial documentation and information required by external advisors
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of recurring tax, insurance, licensing, and compliance-related financial obligations

Qualifications:

Professional qualification:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may also be considered

· Several years of professional experience in accounting, finance, or financial management

· Strong hands-on knowledge of general ledger accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, reconciliations, and month-end closing

· Experience with payroll and employee benefit administration

· Experience with personnel cost budgeting, forecasting, and/or HR controlling is desirable

· Experience preparing or supporting monthly financial statements

· Familiarity with U.S. tax, payroll, employee benefits, and general business compliance processes

· Experience working with external CPAs, tax advisors, auditors, or other professional service providers

· Experience working in an international and collaborating with international headquarter functions is highly desirable

 

Languages:

· English

 

EDP:

· Strong proficiency in accounting/ERP systems and Microsoft Excel

· Experience with ERP system Business Central is highly desirable

· Experience with LucaNet or a comparable Group reporting and consolidation system is highly desirable
